# The Style Studio: themes & layouts

When you open the **Mode** tab → **Form style** in the builder, you enter the **Style Studio** — a live, visual design system that lets you re-skin an entire Classic form without touching code. Every change appears instantly in the preview.

## One-tap presets

Start with a ready-made theme or dial in the six styling axes yourself. The presets get you moving fast; the axes give you total control.

## The six styling axes

- **Color theme** — fourteen palettes, from bright Cloud and warm Coral through deep darks like Midnight, Noir, Aurora, Ocean, and Forest to Champagne, Terracotta, Orchid, Slate, and Sunrise.
- **Type mood** — eight font personalities: Geometric, Editorial (serif headlines), Technical (monospace), Humanist, Brutalist (loud uppercase), Luxe serif, Statement, and Rounded.
- **Density** — Airy, Cozy, or Compact spacing.
- **Shape** — Soft, Sharp, or Pill corners.
- **Background** — nine backdrops: Flat, Glow, Grid, Gradient, an animated Network of drifting nodes, Grain, Dots, Current, and Spotlight.
- **Motion** — Full, Subtle, or Off (always respecting reduced-motion preferences).

## Your brand layers on top

Whatever theme you choose, your workspace brand always wins: your logo appears, your accent color highlights interactive elements, and your fonts show up in headings and body text — so your form feels unmistakably yours.

## Cover & banner images

Add a striking image across the top of your form — a hero shot, a product photo, or a branded banner — that sets the tone before anyone starts answering.

## Live preview

Every adjustment appears instantly in the preview pane, across desktop and mobile, so you see your form the way [respondents](/knowledge-base/account-team/respondent-experience) will before you publish.

## Common questions

### Will my brand override the style I pick?
Yes, and that is deliberate. A style pack sets the whole look, then your brand's accent, surface and fonts layer on top, so a form stays recognisably yours whichever pack you start from.

### Can I use a photograph behind a classic form?
Yes. Choose one from the built-in library or upload your own, put it full-bleed or in a side panel, and set the overlay. The overlay has a floor so text never drops below a readable contrast against an unknown image.

### Do these styles work on the AI interview too?
Themes, fonts and your brand carry across both. Photo backgrounds are a classic-form setting, because the conversational stage is built around the voice orb and a photograph competes with it.

### What if I cannot decide?
Use a preset, or press Surprise me and keep pressing. Every named style in the catalog is a real, art-directed combination rather than a random draw.
