A persona is the core of your AI interviewer's character — the voice and personality that guides each conversation. ChatWisp ships with around two dozen deeply written archetypes, each with its own natural tone, pacing, and way of following up. Rather than starting from scratch, you choose a persona that matches your goal, then optionally fine-tune it.
Pick your archetype
A few examples of what is available:
- Warm & approachable: Max (Your New Best Friend) makes a conversation feel like chatting with a witty friend; the Warm Interviewer is empathetic and curious; the Empathic Listener is gentle for sensitive topics.
- Professional & credible: the Professional Analyst brings B2B precision; the Executive Briefer respects time; the Customer Success Manager is solution-focused.
- Research-focused: the Deep Researcher stays curious about the "why"; the Neutral Moderator is carefully unbiased; the UX Researcher treats frustration as data.
- Fast & engaging: the Snappy Concierge keeps momentum; the Quizmaster brings game-show energy; the Storyteller collects narratives.
Each comes with a fitting voice built in, which you can keep or swap any time.
Tune with three dials
Every persona responds to three personality sliders (0 to 3 each):
- Humor — from none to dry wit, playfulness, or genuine wit.
- Warmth — from matter-of-fact to cordial, visibly warm, or effusive.
- Formality — from casual and friendly to relaxed, professional, or formal.
Nudging a dial layers an adjustment onto the base personality. You might take the Warm Interviewer and make them a touch funnier and more polished while keeping their recognizable soul. A reset button always returns any persona to its natural settings.
