SurveyMonkey is the default for running a questionnaire at scale. ChatWisp asks the same questions as an interview, so you get the score and the reason for it in one pass.
SurveyMonkey has been the safe choice for a long time, and for good reasons: an enormous question bank, an audience panel you can buy responses from, mature reporting, and the compliance paperwork a large organisation asks for. If you need to buy a representative sample this afternoon, they can do that and we cannot.
What a questionnaire cannot do is ask a second question. When someone rates you a 3 and writes "the process was frustrating", a static survey stores that sentence and moves on. Every team then spends weeks reading free-text answers trying to work out what people meant.
ChatWisp asks at the moment it matters. The interviewer hears the frustration, asks which part of the process, and stores both the score and the specifics. The open-text pile you would have coded later is largely already coded.
Not in a second survey, and not in a round of interviews a month later.
Significance testing, confidence intervals and correction for multiple comparisons, with the sample size on every comparison.
Speeding, straight-lining, gibberish and duplicate verbatims go to a review queue, and charts can be weighted by quality.
Respondents speak, the interviewer speaks back, and either side can switch language mid-interview.
You need to buy a panel. They sell access to a respondent audience. We do not, so you bring your own list, customers or panel provider.
You are running a long, purely quantitative questionnaire. For forty grid questions where nobody wants a conversation, a classic survey tool is the right shape. Our Classic mode handles this, but their question bank and their reporting have a long head start.
Your procurement process already cleared them. That is a real cost, and we would rather acknowledge it than talk around it.

A small, optional flourish when someone answers, and it respects reduced-motion settings.
Yes. Classic mode has no AI engine at all, with the usual field types, branching, layouts and export. You can flip a form between Classic and AI and back without losing the questions.
Yes. Scores are captured as real numbers with the proper scales, and the results page renders an NPS gauge, distributions and trends. The interview adds the reasoning on top.
CSV or JSON, including the full transcript and the quality flags. There is also a REST API and an MCP server on the higher plans.
Yes. Workspaces have roles and seats, forms can be private or shared with the team, and every change is recorded.
